Muskegon Greens Activism!

The GreenLight Action Team!

Light up the darkness!

As a Third Party in the U.S., the Green Party has always been at a disadvantage when it comes to spreading our progressive message.  We don't take corporate funded resources like the two major parties as we believe it invites corruption.  Which means, we have to rely on unconventional ways to fight for our communities.  Presenting, The Greenlight Action Team!

What is the Muskegon Greens GreenLight Action Team?   Well, we like to think of it as guerilla activism from the shadows.  We’re looking for volunteers for this direct-action strategy designed to be done at night for maximum effect!  A bold form of protest and impossible to ignore!  Are you in?

 Hashtag Challenge!

Show you care, then share!

Remeber all the posts you shared on social media, where you empathized with the poor homeless in our communities?  How you acknowledege the need for someone to help these unfortunate souls?Well, kudos to you for having the courage to speak out on this social issue.  But now it's time to put up or shut up.

The Muskegon Greens would like to issue a series of challenges to all you web warriors!  Ready!  First challenge:  Donate to or volunteer at a food bank.  Then, show your actions with a pic and the hashtag #therichwontsaveus.  And finally, challenge a friend to do the same, and we'll give you a big shout out on all our social media platforms as well as a chance to win dinner for two at local restaurant YumYum Sushi!

Muskegon Green Rally Backers!

There is strength in numbers!

The Greens believe in Grassroots Democracy, it is one of Four Pillars which make up our core beliefs.  It is essential to our approach to every issue.  As community activists, we recognize that effective activism is always enhanced by numbers.  The more people involved, the stronger the impact.   From protests, to town halls, to demonstrations and rallies, larger numbers tend to bring more attention to the problem.

So, the Muskegon Greens needs your help bringing strength and awareness to local issues.  The idea?  Make sure as many people show up to a rally as possible.  Give those people signs to hold highlighting the issue.  Give those people a rhythmic chant to repeat.  Loudly.  That's it!  Minimum commitment, maximum effect!  Are you ready?
